Malaysian college students busted in alleged cannabis-trafficking ring

An illicit cannabis ring allegedly run by five college students has been busted in Malaysia.

“They have been here for four years and they buy, repack and sell (the marijuana) to students in their campus,” Fakhrudin reportedly said. “They would sell [cannabis] to the people they knew, and all transactions were done in cash,” the police chief said of the scheme.

Police say two of the students — one who was local and the other from out of town — were arrested at a condominium last Thursday, followed by two more that same evening at a separate condo. The raid on the first condo yielded 213 grams of cannabis flower, and the 5.23 kg of cannabis.

Two more international students, believed to be connected to the others, were arrested in another raid near Jalan Persiaran Golf, where police say they seized an additional 6.12
