Massive OPP find yields ‘four dump trucks’ full of illicit cannabis plants

Authorities in the City of Kawartha Lakes have seized more than 6,000 cannabis plants from an illicit grow inside a local residence in Kirkfield, Ont., per an OPP news release posted to OrilliaMatters.

During the raid, police also confiscated 329 pounds of dried cannabis flower with an estimated street value of just shy of $1.5 million, 100 pounds (45 kilograms) of dried cannabis flower valued at $225,500 and and 2.3 pounds (one kg) of cannabis resin expected to be worth $20,840.

In all, OPP reported the total haul of plants and cannabis products had an estimated street value of $7.9 million.

If the cannabis was not enough, though, the police also seized two forklifts, a skid steer and multiple Health Canada licences.
