Playing in the CFL planted the seeds for Chris Ball’s cannabis career

Chris Ball was a journeyman football player. Ball went to training camp with the San Francisco 49er, but didn’t make the team. He spent one season with the now-defunct NFL Europe’s Berlin Thunder and another two seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL), with the B.C. Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Now 43-years-old, the former linebacker has found his place in the cannabis industry.

Per the L.A. Times, Ball is the founder and chief executive of Ball Family Farms, a Los Angeles-based social equity licensed premium cannabis company. The roots of the business, however, trace back to Ball’s time in Canada.
