Police say that Listowel, Ont. drug bust nets $43,000 in substances and property

Two people are facing numerous charges after drugs and property valued at over $43,000 was seized during a raid in Listowel on Tuesday, provincial police say.

According to investigators, a search warrant was executed on Inkerman Street East by the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit with the assistance of two similar units from Grey-Bruce and Wellington, Perth County OPP, and the West Region Emergency Response Team.

Police said cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone pills, psilocybin, LSD, cannabis marijuana and cannabis resin with a street value of over $13,000 were among the substances seized. Cash, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and other “offence related property,” including a motorcycle, was also seized, police said.

Two people from Listowel, a 49-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman with matching surnames, have been arrested and face several drug possession and trafficking charges, police said. The accused persons were released from custody and are scheduled to
