Separate cannabis extraction explosions send four, including two young children, to hospital

A 51-year-old woman in Oregon has been charged with unlawful manufacturing of marijuana extracts after suffering burn injuries during an explosion in an enclosed trailer this week.

Sirena Alice Yotes suffered severe burns on her legs and the trailer sustained major fire damage during the blast at about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, according to a police log released by the Roseburg Police Department.

Yotes, who needed to be taken to hospital for treatment, admitted she had been using “an open-loop system to obtain the marijuana oil,” the police say.
