Study looks at weed strains from four regions to see which ones yield the most THC and CBD

Turkish investigators say their new research is the first-ever to show how different climatic conditions influence CBD and THC yield in various cannabis strains.

“This work demonstrates the effectiveness of the climatic conditions on the strains with supercritical extraction of cannabinoids,” investigators note of the study, published online this week in The Journal of Supercritical Fluids.

Researchers sought to investigate the cannabinoid content of different types of cannabis plants grown in different climatic regions under different supercritical extraction conditions. To pinpoint the differences, they looked at plants in four regions, with extractions taken at two different pressures and two different temperatures.
