Suspected baggie of weed in car leads to even more drugs and plenty of charges

Two people in their 20s were recently reminded of the importance of keeping vehicle information up to date after they were stopped in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. for licence plate violations and the curious cops found a bunch of drugs.

Officers on patrol stopped the vehicle at about 1:24 a.m. after seeing that the validation sticker had expired and the licence plate was obstructed, notes a statement from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

Upon approaching the vehicle, both the driver, Jesse Mr. Stoddart, 27, and the passenger, Patricia Vierimaa, 24, identified themselves.

After carrying out a record check, police learned that Stoddart is currently suspended from driving and asked him to exit the vehicle. Upon doing so, the officers observed a bag containing cannabis in the driver’s side door.
