An Irish investigation targeting transnational organized crime groups came up big this week when Revenue officers seized 300-plus kilograms of illegal drugs, most of it cannabis, worth an estimated €9.8 million ($14.1 million).

Specifically, the joint team from Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau discovered 145 kilograms of cannabis resin, 79 kg of cannabis herb, 60 kg of cocaine, 22 kg of heroin and one kilogram of ketamine at Dublin Port on Nov. 24, Revenue reports.
