A 50-year-old mother of three with arthritis was in court this week after police in Ireland raided her home and seized six cannabis plants.

The police estimated the plants to be worth nearly $7,000, while the judge described the amount as an “awful lot” of cannabis for personal use, reports the Independent.
The woman, who pleaded guilty to the cultivation of cannabis, was reportedly cooperative with police during the raid and stated that the plants were for personal use to combat her health problems. She also told police she wasn’t aware that the plants were illegal.
