Dallas police investigating a suspected identity theft complaint were likely surprised when their suspect turned out to not only be using a woman’s personal information, but using her details to rent a condo housing a cannabis operation.

The suspect had been on the radar of Dallas Police Department (DPD) investigators since early summer. That’s when a complainant filed an offence report regarding an unknown suspect using her personal identifiers to lease a condo, according to the DPD.

After enough evidence to secure a search warrant was obtained, the police raided the property and found the 32-year-old accused on site.
