Charges against Ontario teen include multiple counts related to cannabis

After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver, the 16-year-old was arrested and charged.

The teen faces counts of possession of imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, contrary to Section 88 of the Criminal Code; possession for the purpose of distributing, contrary to Section 9(2) of the Cannabis Act; driving while under suspension, contrary to Section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act; Class G1 licence holder unaccompanied by a qualified driver, contrary to Section 340/94 5(1) OReg of the Highway Traffic Act; person under 19 years having liquor, contrary to Section 30(8) of the Liquor Licence Act; person under 19 years, possession of cannabis, contrary to Section 2017 10(1) of the Cannabis Control Act; driving a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available, contrary to Section 2017 12(1) of the Cannabis Act; driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available, contrary to Section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act; and
