A 25-year-old man in the U.K. heavily damaged his family home when he decided to have a cigarette, a fateful decision that ignited emissions from the butane he had been using to extract cannabis oil and sparked an explosion.

Things reportedly went boom while Jordan Blakey, said to be heavily under the influence of weed at the time, was using the “extremely flammable gas” to extract oil from his cannabis plants inside his bedroom in April 2020, according to Metro.
