Paul McCartney has a hidden hemp grow

Sir Paul McCartney has gotten into organic farming.

McCartney said he avoids using pesticides and fertilizers for any of his crops and that includes the hops, which are used to brew his own beer: Old Stinkhorn.

The ale is named after the stinkhorn fungi that grows across his property. McCartney said he enlists the help of a local brewer to make the final product.

Old Stinkhorn is in short supply, however, with McCartney saying he gifts the limited-run beer to friends.

“I just send it to friends. We don’t produce that many, it’s more a personal thing,” he said.

As for the hemp, it’s not clear why McCartney is growing the versatile crop, but he’s also no stranger to cannabis.

McCartney was famously jailed in Japan in the 80s when he was arrested for carrying eight ounces of bud.
