RCMP seize drugs and weapons in Coalhurst, Alta., recover stolen property and charge four suspects

On Oct. 20, 2021, members of the Southern Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (SAD CRU) located a stolen Ford Ranger and a stolen Ford Focus in Coalhurst, both displaying stolen licence plates.

Following a hearing, Rains was released from custody with his next court hearing scheduled for Dec. 1.

A 29-year-old female from Coleman was also charged with two counts of stolen property, while a 24-year-old male of no fixed address was charged with two counts of stolen property, failure to comply with a release order, possession of a prohibited weapon and failure to comply with prohibited weapon order.

The 24-year old male and 29-year-old female were released from custody and are also scheduled to appear in Lethbridge provincial court on Dec. 1, 2021. RCMP did not release their names as the information has not yet been sworn before the court.
