A 33-year-old Amish man has been arrested in Tennessee after police officers discovered cash, guns and 25 pounds (11.3 kilograms) of cannabis on his property.
Cannabis remains illegal in Tennessee for recreational use, though CBD is allowed for medical purposes.
According to the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), possession of half-ounce (14 grams) or less is a mandatory US$250 ($311) fine and up to 1 year in prison. The sale of cannabis, ranging from 10 to 70 pounds, is a felony, resulting in a US$50,000 ($62,330) fine and between two to 12 years in prison.
