The Volkswagen Microbus is making a comeback.
The electric reboot will come in all-wheel drive with a 430-kilometre range and a 0-60 time of 5 seconds, according to Jalopnik .
More details about the van’s launch will be revealed next year, Volkswagen board member Klaus Zellmer said during the premiere of the company’s latest electric vehicles, ID.5 and the ID.5 GTX.
“This is something that lets my heart beat much faster,” Zellmer said , adding that the company will “be talking more about [the bus] next year.”
According to Electrek , the new version of the classic microbus could start for less than US$50,000 ($62,000).
