A man and a woman are in custody following a record-setting drug seizure by police in Fredericton, NB.
In a news release, the Fredericton Police Force reported it seized 5.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 0.5 kilograms of cocaine, multiple restricted firearms and a significant sum of cash.
Beyond that, CBC reports that the seizure also included 6.3 kilograms of cannabis and quantities of hydromorphone, oxycodone, morphine, acid, psilocybin, methylphenidate and lorazepam.
The search was conducted on 4/20, as authorities executed four Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) warrants on an apartment in Fredericton, as well as two storage units and a vehicle.
The man and woman are now facing 45 criminal charges and 18 CDSA charges.
