It was no garden party for a U.K. man who tried to evade police while lugging a sports bag full of illegal cannabis but ended up quickly getting nabbed in his neighbour’s garden.
The man was then arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. Recreational use, supply or production of cannabis throughout the U.K. remains illegal.
Taken into custody, the man has since been released while the police investigation continues.
“We have recovered a large quantity of illegal drugs during this incident, as well as a knife clearly capable of causing fear, serious injury or worse,” Inspector Paul Makin of the Merseyside Police, said in the statement.
