Labourer charged after found with almost 60 kg of cannabis

A man in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) who has maintained his innocence on drug charges after being found with about 58 kilograms of cannabis is scheduled to be back in court later this month.

As for recreational use, possession of as much as 56 grams of weed and consuming cannabis in private has been decriminalized, meaning it will not results in a criminal record, reports GrowerIQ. Public use remains a crime.

If caught with less than 56 grams, a person is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $235, noted the draft bill.
