Three Ontario residents arrested after cannabis, Percocet recovered from rented BMW

Three Toronto-area males, including one youth, were arrested earlier this week on drug charges in Guelph.

A 22-year-old man from Toronto, and a 22-year-old and 17-year-old male from Mississauga were each charged with possessing controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking. They were released and are due in court in August.

The car, meanwhile, was towed away by police.

Last year, two men in upstate New York were charged after they returned their rental car but forgot their drugs. They later returned to pick them up but were arrested instead.

The rental car company at the Albany International Airport had already alerted the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and police seized 140 glassine envelopes containing heroin, more than 35 grams of MDMA, 62 counterfeit oxycodone pills pressed with fentanyl, 10 suboxone strips, an unspecified amount of cannabis and more than $7,000 in cash.
