Cannabis store set to open in Toronto’s Union Station

A new cannabis store will soon be open in Toronto’s Union Station.

The dispensary, scheduled to open in September, is believed to be among the world’s first within a major transportation hub, reports DailyHive.

“We designed this new location to do exactly that: to invite shoppers to physically ‘take a breather’ in the middle of Canada’s busiest building,” Marques added.

FIKA opened its first flagship cannabis retail experience in Toronto’s Distillery District last year.

The company’s stores feature “Flower Bars,” where cannabis is displayed under magnifying domes, intended to make shopping easier and more approachable.

“FIKA offers customers an experience unlike any other cannabis retailer I have seen in Canada or the U.S.,” said Kelly Kennedy, FIKA’s director of store design and visual merchandising, last year.
