The Libertarian Party of Florida is throwing its weight behind a November ballot measure that would legalize adult-use cannabis, and recent polling suggests passage.
“This amendment reflects the growing recognition that individuals should have the freedom to make their own choices regarding cannabis use,” Matthew Johnson, the party’s vice chair and communications committee chair, said in a Monday post on the party’s website.

Amendment 3, which requires 60% voter approval, would allow recreational marijuana sales to Floridians 21 and older at existing medical marijuana treatment centers as well as possession of up to 3 ounces of cannabis.
