Unlike the federal government, which bought Trans Mountain Corp. in 2018 and will use it to build the West Coast pipeline, Ontario does not happen to own a pipeline company. Ford said he’s not opposed to taking on a private sector partner, but why would any be interested, with no obvious demand for the pipeline?
