“Native smokes” is the term used (broadly speaking) for those produced and sold on First Nations, which should in theory be taxed when sold to off-reserve residents, and which every now and again might find their way behind the counter at your local more downscale convenience store (you can even order them online). We’re very unlikely to ever get serious about those, since it’s just not worth it for any government to pick a fight with, say, the Ontario Mohawks.
