“All I would add is that the submarine enterprise is much larger than simply the (Canadian Submarine Force) and includes personnel working in (the assistant deputy minister of materiel’s) Maritime Equipment Programme Management (Submarines) cell, the Fleet Maintenance Facilities on each coast, the Naval Experiment and Testing Establishment, the Canadian Forces Maritime Experimental and Test Range, and other fleet establishments like schools, liaison teams, or operational HQs,” Mitchell said.
