A peep into Mike Tyson’s $1 million-a-month marijuana empire

The boxing legend Mike Tyson has recently transitioned into a new field. Starting from a world champion knock out an artist to a film star and then a motivational speaker throughout his illustrious career, he has now found another lucrative endeavor; a multi-million dollar marijuana empire.

Tyson has been selling marijuana products since 2016 using his Tyson Holistic label and is believed to earn almost £500,000-per-month (NZ$1m) via his business. The 53-year-old investor is allegedly planning to expand into a reported 418-acre weed-themed holiday resort and a ‘Tyson University’ for the wannabe weed farmers.

Tyson, who struggled for years with substance abuse, which also included cocaine, acknowledged that he found comfort in marijuana. He hopes to use his business to engage debate and simultaneously spread awareness of the medicinal value of cannabis. Tyson said:

“I thought about how much good I could do by helping people with cannabis. It was a no-brainer.”

That drug has made a massive difference to Tyson’s life based on account of his business partner Rob Hickman. He said that it changed his life, and the former boxer has become a perfect person.

Tyson has already confessed that he smokes more than $80,000 of his supply per month. He believes that CBD, which is one of the ingredients of cannabis, can be used to help in the fight against opiate addiction. He added:

“I’ve been fighting for over 20 years, and my body has a lot of wear and tear. I had two surgeries, and I used marijuana to calm my nerves, and it would take the pain away. But before, they had me on those opiates, and those opiates had me all screwed up.”

Expansion

In 2018, Tyson said that he plans to expand his cannabis empire into a marijuana-themed theme park, located in California where the drug is legal. He described it as the ‘wonderland of weed‘ that promotes wellness and health.

Official reports state that the ‘Tyson Ranch’ will reportedly let the consumers stay in luxury hotels or ‘glamping’ tents, and it will have the ‘world’s longest lazy river’ and a water raft ride for the guests.

In February 2019, Tyson held a small pop-up music festival known as ‘Kind Music Festival’ at the ranch that included several artists like A$AP Ferg and Miguel.
