U.S. rapper Berner, the CEO of Cookies, a popular cannabis brand founded in California, is the first cannabis executive to be featured on the cover of Forbes.
In his early entrepreneurial days, Berner was reportedly offered $800 million for the company.
“I mean, I had to think about it for a while. I want people out there to be motivated and I want people out there to know that the first deal is not the best deal,” he said in 2020, discussing the mostly stock offering from an unnamed Canadian producer.
