California workers for marijuana operator Eaze secure 3-year bargaining pact

Nearly 500 California-based workers at marijuana operator Eaze have ratified a new three-year collective bargaining agreement.

According to a Friday news release, the workers – who are represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 5, 135, 324 and 770 – will receive:

Recognition of previous union service. Fair wages and regular raises, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2025. Employer contributions to workers’ health and welfare. Mileage reimbursements for delivery drivers indexed to the IRS rate.

“The workers at Eaze stood strong through uncertainty and came out with a contract that protects their wages, benefits, and rights,” UFCW Local 135 Secretary-Treasurer Grant Tom said in a statement.

Florida-based Eaze has experienced a rebirth of sorts in 2025.
