DoorDash has banned a delivery driver from its platform after the so-called “dasher” left a bag of cannabis in an order.
“What happened is not acceptable, and we have removed the Dasher from our platform. We appreciate the customer for reporting the incident,” DoorDash told ABC6 in a statement.
The man who received the order, a healthcare worker, was reportedly concerned about cannabis ending up in the wrong hands.
“I think about the kids,” he said. “I have a nephew. I think about my coworker. He has granddaughters and grandsons.”
The marijuana mishap has apparently shaken the man to his core.
“I really feel like I question everything now,” he reportedly said, adding that he wonders if food delivery companies like DoorDash “really know the people who are working for them.”
