Dogs at children’s special needs workshop sniff out $2.2 million cannabis site next door

A private security company in the U.K. that brought drug dogs to a children’s workshop designed to enhance sensory learning got educated themselves when the canines sniffed out an illegal cannabis grow-op.

The find occurred one afternoon last November while the company, which trains dogs in drug searches and private protection, and its dogs were interacting with children who have special educational needs, notes a statement from the Leicestershire Police.

The dog handlers grew suspicious when the dogs repeatedly went to a wall of the adjoining unit.
