Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) vetoed a bill to restrict intoxicating hemp products. Sources close to the governor have reportedly said he’s hoping the hemp industry will help fund a campaign to defeat the marijuana legalization initiative on the November ballot.

A new poll found that Florida voters support the marijuana legalization initiative on the November ballot, 66 percent to 32 percent—with majorities of Democrats, Republicans and independents on board. The measure has more support in the survey than Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who is campaigning against it.
