That’s exactly what happened when a 26-year-old lifeguard at Florida’s Golden Sands Beach Park found a discarded life vest washed up on the beach just before noon on Oct. 23.
Picking up the vest, he surmised that the protective gear was too heavy, even for being waterlogged.
