Police responding to reports of brawling gangs in Scotland found more than fisticuffs when they arrived at the scene in an apartment in Arbroath.
“There were elements of what might be described as coercion in his committing this offence,” the court heard, per The Daily Record.
“The gang leader appears to have had a formidable reputation. My client was told he would be living in the house where there would be cultivation of cannabis. It came to light when police attended in relation to a disturbance.”
The gang leader has reportedly been deported to the Czech Republic, where he is serving a prison season related to weapons charges.
The alleged grower was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the community.
