Bernard Callebaut was a name synonymous with luxury chocolate for almost three decades in Calgary. At the height of his success, Callebaut’s company had 31 retail locations across Canada.

In 2010, his company went into receivership, owing almost $4 million to creditors. Five years later, he declared personal bankruptcy.
