‘I smoke a lot, you would be surprised,’ driver reportedly tells officers during traffic stop

A driver confessed to a little too much holiday cheer this past weekend, something that didn’t go over too well with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Amidst the 2021 Festive Ride Campaign, which kicked off late last week, an unidentified driver was stopped on Highway 403 in Mississauga, Ont., notes a tweet from the OPP Highway Safety Division.

The man’s vehicle was then searched, according to Insauga.

The stop didn’t turn out well for the driver, who now faces charges of possession for the purpose of distribution, possession of illicit cannabis, possession of cannabis over 30 grams, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000 and having cannabis readily, the police tweet reports.
