Jamaican bobsled team that inspired Cool Runnings were initially worried about cannabis portrayal

It’s been 24 years since Jamaica fielded a four-man bobsled team at the Winter Olympics.

That drought will end later this month when Jamaica takes to the track in Beijing and hopes to build on a legacy that began at the 1988 Games in Calgary. Those Games marked the debut of Jamaica’s bobsled program, which inspired the 1993 film Cool Runnings. 

Devon Harris, a member of the 1988 team, recently discussed how it feels to see Jamaica back in the event and why his team was initially wary of the release of the movie.
