Malawi agriculture minister asks Mike Tyson to become ambassador of country’s cannabis crop

Boxing legend Mike Tyson reportedly has been invited to take part in yet another bout: serving as an official weed ambassador for Malawi, a country in southeastern Africa.

Per Vice, Malawi agriculture minister Lobin Low sent a letter to Tyson asking him to become the ambassador of the country’s cannabis crop.

This past August, members of the Malawi parliament passed the Cannabis Regulation Bill of 2020. The bill “seeks to create new economic opportunities and build up foreign exchange base through the emergence of properly regulated medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp industries and value chains,” then agriculture minister Kondwani Nankhumwa said at the time.
