Man accused of dealing mushrooms and weed could face three decades in prison

An Indiana man who could be imprisoned for as long as 33 years on two felony drug counts reportedly has been extradited back to Indiana.

Kansas police allege that Adam C. Davis, 30, was dealing magic mushrooms and marijuana. Davis has since been charged with dealing the two drugs and also faces a misdemeanour count of possessing a controlled substance, that being marijuana, according to WIBC.

Both recreational marijuana and psilocybin remain illegal in Kansas. Indeed, “the possession and sale of any amount of marijuana is illegal in Kansas,” according to Criminal Defence Lawyer. For distributing between 450 grams and 30 kilograms of marijuana, this is punishable by up to 144 months (12 years) in prison, a fine of up to US$500,000 ($615,000) or both, the information adds.
