It’s not quite clear why a 55-year-old man in Orange, Conn. thought it would be a good idea to take a snooze in an unoccupied school bus, despite his car being parked nearby, but he has now awoken to face a number of drug offences.
After seeing a large bag of marijuana inside his vehicle, officers obtained a search warrant and later retrieved about 11.5 pounds (approximately five kilograms) of cannabis. But they found more than weed; officers also retrieved marijuana packaging materials, scales and an unidentified amount of cash, the police say.
The man has been charged with operating a drug factory, sale of more than one kilogram of cannabis and third-degree criminal trespass. He was initially held on a US$25,000 ($31,500) bond.
