If you’re a cannabis consumer in the U.S. on the hunt for a job, Washington-based Sesh, a cannabis accessory brand, is looking to hire writers, photographers, videographers, streamers and social media influencers.
Last year, a report from CannabizTeam, a cannabis-focused executive search and staffing firm, identified cultivation as the area with the most opportunity.
According to that report, entry-level roles like trimmers have seen “upward compensation growth” while executive roles such as vice president of cultivation and director of cultivation saw double-digit salary growth from 2020 to 2021.
“Jobs in the cultivation sector include some of the highest-paying positions in the industry, yet we also see vast opportunities for entry-level candidates,” said Liesl Bernard, CEO of CannabizTeam.
A number of Canadian colleges and universities now offer cannabis cultivation programs.
