Arguably the most compelling fighter on the card at UFC 226 on Saturday night was Nick Diaz, a 38-year-old who hasn’t won a fight in nearly a decade.

Diaz, the elder brother of Nate Diaz, made his return to the Octagon in his first fight since January 2015. He lost in the third round to Robbie Lawler by technical knockout, but even in defeat, he was one of the main storylines of the night.
