The latest quarterly report from Alberta-based Nova Cannabis indicates its Value Buds format is resonating with Canadians.
Only three stores with the Nova banner remain in Alberta and they are expected to be converted to Value Buds brands by the end of next month.
Majority-owned by Alcanna Inc., Canada’s largest private liquor retailer, Nova’s goal is to “disrupt the cannabis retail market by offering a wide range of high-quality cannabis products at every-day best value prices.”
A recent industry report found that price was the main driver for Canadians when purchasing cannabis. The 2020 Canadian Cannabis Survey also listed price (29 per cent), followed by safe supply (26 per cent) and quality (15 per cent) as the most important factors in deciding where to buy cannabis.
