Someone left a whole lot of illegal cannabis unattended and officers with the Maury County Drug Unit in Tennessee have invited owners to come and claim it.

Tennessee “is one of the few states where marijuana remains an illegal controlled substance for all purposes,” according to Criminal Defense Lawyer. “Products containing low-THC cannabidiol or CBD oil (less than 0.9 per cent THC) are excluded from the definition of marijuana but only if prescribed by a doctor for an approved medical condition,” it notes.
A person found in possession of marijuana faces a maximum of a year in jail and fines up to US$2,500 ($3,750) for a first conviction, per Raybin & Weissman, P.C.
