Olivia Newton-John: ‘Cannabis that my husband grows for me has been such a huge part of my healing’

Olivia Newton-John joined the Today show earlier this week to discuss her fight against stage four breast cancer, a diagnosis she received four years ago.

Speaking with Hoda Kotb, a breast cancer survivor herself, Newton-John said she’s not dwelling on the diagnosis and has benefitted greatly from the cannabis her husband grows at home.

“I have my days, I have my pains, but the cannabis that my husband grows for me has been such a huge part of my healing,” Newton-John said, per the Mirror . Before her 2017 diagnosis, Newton-John had cancer in 1992 and 2013.

She has previously credited her husband, John Easterling, for helping ween her off morphine by consuming tinctures of cannabis.

“It’s kept my pain at bay and helps with mood, with sleep, with inflammation. It’s been amazing for me,” she said .
