A 21-year-old man who was stopped by Florida police seemed bent on compounding bad decisions, which all came together with him being tossed into county jail on drug charges.
Not only was the driver implicated in that discovery, but he was also later arrested for possessing contraband in a county detention facility after being found with a gram of weed, according to Colorado Marijuana Watch.
Medical cannabis is legal in Florida, but recreational weed is not. According to HG Legal Resources, possession of more than 25 pounds to 2,000 pounds (about 11 to 907 kilograms) carries a potential punishment of three to 15 years in prison and a fine of as much as US$25,000 ($30,000).
