A fugitive wanted in several U.S. states was busted in a Nashville hospital after consuming cannabis he said made him sick.

On Jan. 2, WKRN reports the 29-year-old man sought medical care for his illness and was taken to the TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment.
While receiving treatment, officers conducted a records check of the man and found out that he was a fugitive. The probe showed he had two outstanding warrants for failing to appear and was also wanted by U.S. Marshals in Virginia, according to WKRN.
The man was taken into custody after receiving treatment and being discharged.
