Members of a joint enforcement team searching one business and two homes in and around Dublin ended up seizing more than €1.3 million ($1.9 million) worth of illegal drugs, cash and vehicles.
Specifically, personnel attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force discovered 66 kilograms of cannabis, a smaller, unspecified amount of cocaine and a drug-mixing agent.
All of that was seized, as was €33,090 ($47,981) in cash and two vehicles, notes a statement from Garda, the national police service of the Republic of Ireland.
The raid on the evening of Nov. 29 was part of ongoing organized crime investigations targeting those suspected of being involved in drug trafficking.
Two men, aged 35 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking-related offences.
