Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service removed approximately 10,000 cannabis plants from a site in Lindsay, Ont. late last month, according to a news release.
In July, authorities in Kawartha Lakes seized more than 6,000 cannabis plants, estimated to be worth $6.2 million, and followed that up with another multi-million-dollar bust a few weeks later.
In August, more than 2,200 cannabis were seized by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from a property in Sebright, Ont.
The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Street Crime Unit executed the search warrant, alongside members of the Haliburton Highlands, Peterborough and Northumberland OPP.
The plants seized are allegedly equivalent to “two full dump trucks” and are valued at an estimated $2.3 million. Police also seized seven grams of cocaine, an RV mobile home, an ATV and a prohibited weapon from the site.
