Police respond to burglary call and find $1.6M worth of cannabis

A suspected burglary of an empty property tuned out to be quite the score for police officers in the U.K.

Police are asking anyone with information about the property to come forward as the investigation continues.

It’s not the first time police have responded to a call only to stumble into a cannabis bust.

Last year, officers searching for a man in a reported state of distress in Burnley, U.K., didn’t find the man in question, but did find a cannabis grow after typing in the wrong address.

Police found the plants in an upstairs bedroom of a home, according to the Burnley Express. It is alleged the plants had a street value of £21,000 ($35,600) to £33,000 ($56,000).
