Police seize 280 cannabis plants from neighbouring addresses

Police in the U.K. seized 280 cannabis plants and arrested a 40-year-old man after searching neighbouring addresses in Hartlepool, a port town in Northeast England.

The busts occurred across three streets, with the addresses all within walking distance of one another. Two men were later arrested and police believe the grows are linked to gang activity.

Last January, police busted a grow in the U.K. borough of Fylde and discovered that the farm spanned every floor of a semi-detached property, including the attic, where a hole had been created to connect the house to the neighbouring property.

Police described the grow as “substantial” and were tipped off by local community members.

Of course, not every neighbour is so cordial when it comes to growing cannabis.
